Tulip Siddiq reelected in UK election Labour Party MP Tulip Rizwana Siddiq

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s niece and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s granddaughter Tulip Rizwana Siddiq sealed victory as an MP (Member of Parliament) in UK General Election, for second consecutive time.

Labour Party MP Tulip defeated her opponent in Hampstead and Kilburn constituency by 15,560 votes, in the polls held in Thursday (June 8).

It has been learned at around 09:30am (Bangladesh time) Friday that Tulip earned 34,464 votes and reelected MP from Labour Party, while her rival Claire Louise Leyland from Conservative Party received 18,904 votes.

Earlier, in 2015, Tulip Siddiq was elected as the Labour Party MP for the maiden time receiving 23,977 votes beating her nearest rival conservative party candidate Simon Marcus who earned 22,839 votes.
