DHAKA: An earthquake of 6.7 magnitude was detected in the Mediterranean Sea 80km west of Chania on the Greek island of Crete at 1311 GMT on Saturday.

The US Geological Survey said, reports The Straits Times.

The centre of the quake was 15km below the seabed, the organisation said.
