DHAKA: The Obama administration has reportedly made a quite decision to resume military and economic assistance to Pakistan as relations between the two countries have thawed.

CNN on Saturday cited a senior administration official as saying, The Jerusalem Post reports.

According to the report, Washington plans to send more than $1.6 billion in aid to Pakistan.

The US halted assistance to Pakistan when ties deteriorated after US special forces killed Osama bin Laden in 2011 during a covert operation.
