KHULNA: A Khulna court handed over death sentences to four persons including the mother, in a case filed over killing 9-year-old Hashmi in Khulna.

Mosammot Dilruba Sultana of Khulna Additional Metropolitan Session Judge Court passed the order at around 11:30am Tuesday (August 29).

The three others convicts are—M Nurunnabi, M Rosul and M Hafizur Rahman.

According to the case statement, Sonia, the mother, was divorced by her husband over her illegal affair with some other men.

After the separation, Hashmi used to live with his father.

Afterwards, Sonia contacted one Nurunnabi and Rosul to abduct Hashmi from his father.    

She said that she will pay them Tk500 and will have sex as too as payment, in return.
The duo abducted Hashmi in the night of June 6, 2016.

Afterwards, Sonia was caught by Hshmi when the duo were making love with her. 
To cover up the incident, the duo slaughtered Hashmi in front of his mother.

Later, the body was recovered from a waterbody on June 9. 

Hashmi’s father M Hafizur Rahman filed a case over the killing, on the same day.
