KUSHTIA: A total of 214 drug peddlers of Kushtia are ready to surrender to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Monday (May 6).

Kushtia district police has completed all the arrangement to hold an anti-drug rally at Kushtia Stadium around 11 am on Monday.

Awami League Acting General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary will also attend the rally.

Auto rickshaw, van, sewing machine and other necessary things will be provided to the surrenders. Drug addicts will be sent to rehab centers to bring them to normal life.

“Around 200 listed drug dealers under 6 police stations are set to surrender,” said Kushtia Superintend of Police (SP) Tanvir Arafat.
