DHAKA: The government has appointed 105 Supreme Court lawyers in the posts of Assistant Attorney General (AAG).
The Law, Justice and law and Parliamentary affairs ministry has issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (July 7).
According to the notification, 105 SC lawyers have been appointed as Assistant Attorney-General till the issuance of further order.
The notification further said that assistant attorney-generals appointed on June 12, 2007, 27 and 19 assistant attorney-generals appointed on October 25 will be Stay in respective post.
The recruitment of rest of the appointed assistant attorney-generals has been canceled, it added.
Earlier on June 27, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam has given verbal order to all deputy attorney generals (DAGs) and assistant attorney generals (AAGs) appointed before 2017 to resign.
