Create a quick and easy home spa

With the rainy weather making you stay indoors, try some skin pampering in the confines of your own room

Creating a spa at home is both cost-effective and a time-saver. Here are tips on doing so...

- Firstly, choose the spot where you want the spa and try and install a small tub or whirlpool there. - Take some dried rose petals or aromatic potpourri and decorate the area around it with this. - Keep a rack overhead with some nice fresh, coloured towels. - Set the mood with scented candles that also add aroma and colour to your setting. Keeping essential oils around is a good idea as this exudes a comforting aroma and can relax you (try lemongrass, lavender or tea tree oil). - Keep a manicure and pedicure kit near you as well. - Add some soothing spa music to your little space. - Go ahead and enjoy your home spa. Whilst you soak in your tub, have a purifying face mask, relaxing eye mask and moisturising hair conditioner all at the same time!

Easy ingredients to use:
For one, try dark chocolate. Known to be packed with benefits like reducing cellulite and lending vitamins to the skin, chocolate works great with facials and body wraps. You can also use the King of Fruits - mango - on your skin. It has vitamin A and is an apt moisturizer too. If you're very stressed out - something as basic as using coconut oil, is a reliever. Simply take a little onto your palm and massage it gently over the head and forehead too. You can also rub your back and neck with it as these parts are the most affected by stress.
