3 All-Natural Secrets For Radiant, Glowing Skin

Since the day they booked their first Hollywood appearance, celebrities feel the pressure to have the perfect face, an amazing figure and gorgeous, healthy hair. In all honesty, though, I know that I want to look my best too and if all of us could have access to the treatments celebrities do, we would probably be more than happy to indulge.

It’s not just celebrities that feel the pressure to look flawless. It’s also stressful for everyone else living with the ridiculous image of beauty we're fed by the media. Being an esthetician working in Los Angeles for the past five years, I've witnessed how we all have insecurities that make us uncomfortable. I've also learned what really works and what really doesn't and that true beauty always begins within.

The truth is that I don’t just correct skin. I also correct the way my clients care for their skin while reminding them that a positive outlook and great diet are the real keys to true beauty. My secrets are straightforward and easy to follow, so if you want real results, just keep reading.

Here are the top three things that I swear by for truly radiant, healthy skin that will glow just like an A-lister's

1. Exfoliate weekly.

Exfoliation is key to beautiful, radiant skin. The best way to exfoliate naturally at home is to take one tablespoon of raw organic coconut oil and mix it with one teaspoon of cane sugar. Gently apply to face and neck in circular motions and rinse with warm water.

I recommend doing this in the shower one-to-two times per week to help maintain your skin in between professional treatments.

2. Apply a nighttime mask.

Our skin does the most healing while we sleep, so this is the very best time to give your face (and body!) some extra help. I advise my clients to apply a thin layer of their favorite hydrating mask over their evening moisturizer. This is especially helpful while traveling when skin can become extra dry or irritated.

One of my favorite DYI masks only requires one avocado, ripe avocado. Take an avocado, and mash it into a pulp. Spread evenly on your face and let sit for at least five-to-ten minutes. When you want to remove the mask, gently wipe your face with a warm, wet cloth.

3. Eat plenty of superfoods.

We are what we eat. If you want really amazing skin that truly glows, you have to eat a diet rich in antioxidants that also contains anti-inflammatory and healing nutrients. I suggest always buying local, organic produce and cutting out sugar, which causes an inflammatory response in the body.

Remember, true beauty really does begin within!
