Faridpur clash injures 50

FARIDPUR: Over 50 people were injured and at least 12 shops vandalized during a fierce clash between two groups in Saltha Bazar area of the district.

The critically injured 30 people were admitted to Nagorkanda Health Complex, Faridpur General Hospital and Faridpur General Hospital.

Sources said that shoe businessman Billal Sheikh from Vaoyal union and Imamul Khan Romakantopur locked into a brawl which trigged a violent clash between the people from the two unions on Thursday night, leaving more than 50 people injured and 12 shops vandalized in Shaltha Bazar area.

Shaltha Thana Officer-in-Charge Afsar Ahmed told banglanews that additional police were deployed in the area and the troublesome situation was under control.
