JSC exams shifted for hartal

DHAKA: The Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations which were scheduled to be held on November 10, 11 and 12 were shifted to November 14, 16 and 21 due to 18-party’s 72-hr nonstop hartal on those days.

On the other hand, Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations which were scheduled to be held on November 10, 11 and 12 were shifted to November 14, 21 and 22.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid declared the new dates of the deferred examinations in a press conference on 11:15am Saturday.

Earlier on Friday, the ministry postponed the examinations after opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance called 72-hour nonstop hartal (shutdown) across the country from Sunday morning to press home their demand of non-party polls-time government.
