Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) earned revenue worth Tk 2.46 crore by selling 3.35 lakh tickets since metro rail opening.

M A N Siddique, managing director of DMTCL told this while briefing reporters today (Jan 31).

He said Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited earned this amount in 29 days.

On December 28, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the metro rail, and the next day metro was opened for commuters.

Meanwhile, the PM is set to inaugurate the construction works of the country's first underground metro rail (MRT Line-1) on February 2.
