Bashundhara Group, the leading business conglomerate of the country in collaboration with Kaler Kantho Shuvosangho distributed blankets among the cold-hit poor in Narsingdi's Monohardi on Sunday (Feb 5).

A total of 1,000 blankets were distributed by Shuvosangho, a social organisation of Bashundhara Group’s vernacular daily Kaler Kantho, on behalf of the largest corporate body.

The blanket distribution programme was held at the Monohardi bus stand area this morning.

Among others, Jakaria Zaman, director of Shuvosangho, AKM Zahirul Haque, Israt Jahan Tamanna, member of Narsingdi Zilla Parishad, Masud Rana, president, general secretary Kamrul Islam of Monohardi unit of Shuvosangho, and the President of Monohardi Journalist Forum JM Shahjahan Mollah, were present on the occasion.  

AKM Zahirul Haque said, “I hail Bashundhara Group for this nobility and thank its Chairman for standing by the helpless people of the society. During the winter, the poor suffer the most. So, Bashundhara Group's gift for cold-hit people is beneficial. I hope they will continue this.”

"Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan Sir has asked us to deliver winter clothes among the people as a gift, we are happy to provide these gifts among the people, said Jakaria Zaman.
