DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said the regular cabinet meeting of incumbent government ended and the all-party polls-time government would be formed soon.
However, the concluding cabinet sitting was scheduled to begin on Monday but it was rescheduled as Malaysian Prime Minister is visiting the country on the day.
A participant minister told banglanews that the meeting started with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair and she said an all-Party government with a small cabinet likely to initiate soon.
However, she also informed cabinet members that next meetings would be held with a small size but didn’t mention any date for the all-party government and cabinet matters.
Meanwhile, the cabinet finally approved the National Policy on Older Persons on condition of vetting from the law ministry fixing the definition of “old persons” and keeping provisions of ensuring facilities for the older persons.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan briefed journalists.
