DHAKA: Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak arrived in Dhaka on Sunday night after commonwealth summit in Sri Lanka to sign several treaties between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
The Malay premier landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 8:07pm by a special flight.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received him at the airport.
Foreign ministry sources said many bilateral treaties will be singed between Bangladesh and Malaysia during his two-day long official visit.
Najib Razak will sit in a meeting with Sheikh Hasina on Monday afternoon at Prime Minister Office.
Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni and Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain will meet him at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargon.
On Tuesday morning Razak will leave Bangladesh.
