Three persons were killed and at least four seriously injured in a head-on collision between a BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh) bus and a Leguna at Chakaria upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Saturday (March 4) morning.

The accident happened around 8:45 am on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway.

The deceased were Nazrul Islam, 34, son of Danu Mia, Mohammad Hamid Ullah, 29, son of Abul Bosor and Jahangir Alam, 25, son of Lal mia. All the deceased and the victims are the passengers of Leguna.

According to locals, the Leguna collided with a bus carrying BGB members at Aziznagar 12 No Bridge area this morning. Three died on the spot and four were injured. 

The injured were sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

Lohagara Fire Service and Civil Defense Station Officer Rubel Alam confirmed the matter.
