Fire Service and Civil Defence has formed a four-member committee to investigate the massive explosion that ripped through a 5-storey building near the BRTC bus counter in Gulistan killing 17 people on Tuesday.

The head of the investigation committee is Director (Operation and Maintenance) Lt Col Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury.

The committee has been asked to submit the report within five working days.  

Lalbagh Zone (Deputy Commissioner) Zafar Hossain confirmed the matter while talking to reporters on Wednesday (Mar 8).
