A case has been filed against 10-12 unnamed people in connection with the incident of Tk11.25 crore in cash of Dutch Bangla Bank from a car that was going to refill ATMs in Turag area of Dhaka's Uttara on Thursday. 

Alamgir Hossain, director of Money Plant Link Private Limited, filed the case with Turag Police Station on Thursday (Mar 10) night.

DMP Uttara Division's Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Badrul Hasan confirmed the matter. 

Earlier on March 9, robbers looted about Tk11.25 crore in cash of Dutch Bangla Bank from in Turag area. 

The incident took place at Dhaka's Turag area at 7:30am on Thursday morning. 

Police said that at Uttara Sector-16, a group of armed people stopped the vehicle and took away the money at gunpoint.

Later, the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police recovered Tk9 crore just a few hours after some Tk11.25 crore was robbed. 

Besides, police also detained seven people for interrogation in this connection.
