MAKKAH: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina performed Holy Umrah at Makkah on Friday morning.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Md Shahidul Islam, Bangladesh consulate consul general Nazmul Islam, consul of hajj Md Asaduzzaman and high officials of Saudi Embassy and Consular accompanied the premier.

Prime Minister arrived at Jeddah at around 04:00am and senior officers of Saudi government welcomed the PM and her entourage at the airport.

Earlier, a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying her left Shahjalal International Airport for Jeddah at around 11:55pm Thursday and landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport at around 7:00am Friday (Bangladesh time).

The Premier will return home on Saturday midnight after offering ziarat at the holy Rowja Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM).

A 55-member team including Prime Minister’s sister Sheikh Rehana, officers of Prime Minister’s office and foreign ministry, security personnel and journalists will accompany the premier during the tour.
