A young man was killed and eleven others were injured in a road accident on the Magura-Jashore road in Moghir Dhal area under Sadar upazila today (Mar 21). 
 
The deceased was identified as Sajeeb Sheikh, 20, son of Wazed Ali Sheikh, a resident of Majhail Mandartala village of Sreepur upazila of the district.
 
Magura Highway Police officer-in-charge (OC) Liaquat Ali confirmed the matter.

He said a Dhaka-bound bus from Satkhira collided head-on with a three-wheeler (Nata) around 9am, leaving helper Sajeeb of the three-wheeler dead on the spot and eleven others injured. 
 
Police recovered the dead body from the spot and sent it to Magura 250-bed Hospital morgue for autopsy.
 
Nine of the injured were taken to Magura 250-bed Hospital and two others were sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition for better treatment, he said.
 
The bus and three-wheeler were seized from the spot, the OC added.
