The Bangabandhu Bridge authorities collected Tk2,71,95,400 in toll as 36,069 vehicles crossed the bridge in the past 24 hours ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. 

Bangabandhu Bridge Executive Engineer Ahsanul Kabir Pavel confirmed the matter. 

According to the Bangabandhu Bridge authority, a total of 20,820 North Bengal-bound vehicles crossed the bridge from which Tk1,40,10,100 was collected as toll.

Besides, 15,249 Dhaka-bound vehicles crossed the bridge and Tk1,31,85,300 was collected from the vehicles. 

Earlier today, motorcycles started plying the Padma Bridge from 6 am after about nine and a half months, ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
