CHITTAGONG: Deadly blaze killed a mother and her two children and gutted five houses in Fatikchhari upazila under the district early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Sumi Nath, 25, her two kids Borsha Kumar Nath, 2, and Srabon Kumar Nath, 1.

Local sources said fire erupted in houses of Dilip Kumar Nath and his bothers at Sundarpur union early hours of Wednesday, leaving Milon Kumar Nath’s wife Sumi and their two kids burnt alive.    

The reason behind the fire could be known immediately.

The local administration, however, couldn’t manage to find out the reasons or inception of the blaze.  

Fatikchhari Thana Officer-in-Charge Ataur Rahaman Bhuiyan told banglanews, “On information, police force was sent to the spot.”

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Nazrul Islam told banglanews, “A team had been sent to inquiry about the origination of fire.”
