Police recovered the hanging body of a college principal from a bathroom of his house at sadar upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Wednesday (May 10) morning.

Deceased Mustab Ali, 58, was a resident of Natore district, and the principal of Bangladesh Gas Fields School and College in Brahmanbaria.

According to the police, family members spotted the principal hanging from the shower in bathroom this morning and informed police.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station sub-inspector Safayet confirmed the matter.

He said Principal Mustab may have committed suicide after failing to pay debt.

The principal tried to commit suicide once before by taking poison, he added.
