Withdrawal of additional police escort from ambassadors of four countries would not affect the bilateral ties between Bangladesh and those countries, according to Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen today. 
 
He made the remark while speaking to journalists at Foreign Service academy in the capital on Tuesday (May 16).

The foreign secretary said as per Vienna Convention regular security measures for foreign missions and their personnel remain unchanged.
 
Additional escort was mainly used for traffic clearance purposes, Masud added. 

He said, the government will offer the services of a special force of Ansar to the foreign missions in Dhaka as alternatives as the withdrawal of additional escort services for four diplomats came into effect.
