A college teacher was run over by a bus at Sadar upazila in Bogura district on Wednesday (May 24) morning.

The deceased Hafizur Rahman, 55, hailed from Dhunat upazila of the district. He was a teacher at Ghoraghat Government College in Dinajpur district
 
According to police and locals, a Rangpur-bound bus ran over Hafizur while he was crossing road in Jhopgari area on the Bogura-Rangpur highway at around 10 :30 am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police outpost ASI Afzal Hossain confirmed the matter.

The bus was seized and its driver and helper managed to flee the scene, the ASI added.
