A Narayanganj court on Tuesday (May 30) sentenced three people to death for killing a child after abduction at Rupagnj upazila in the district in 2018.

Narayanganj Women and Children Repression Tribunal Judge Nazmul Haque Shyamal passed the order this afternoon.

The death row convicts are Zakir Hossain, Shahjalal and Ashraful, residents of Tekpara area under the upazila.

Rakib Uddin Ahmed, public prosecutor of the court, confirmed the matter.

According to the prosecution, on October 19, 2018, the convicts kidnapped and killed 3-year-old Jui, daughter of Anwar Hossain, from Bhulta Tekpara area of Rupganj.
