COMILLA: A Juba Dal leader was chopped to death in Daudkandi upazila of the district on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as M Jahangir Sarker, 35, general secretary of ward no-3 of Gauripur Union Jubo Dal and son of Fojor Ali of the area.

Locals said that an angry mob gave a good beating to an accused Awami League activist and handed over to police.

Confirming the matter, Daudkandi Thana Officer-in-Charge Abul Faysal told banglanews that additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to avoid further unwanted situation.
