The government has allocated Taka 42,095 crore for the Ministry of Defence in the proposed budget for the fiscal (FY) 2023-24. 

The allocation is Taka 5445 crore higher than the revised budget of Taka 36,650 crore of the previous FY 2022-23. 

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal while placing the national budget for FY24 allocation of Taka 45 crore for the Armed Forces Division for the FY 2023-24 which was Tk 37 crore in the revised budget of FY 2022-23.
