BOGRA: A Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal activist was chopped to death by miscreants near Chaksutrapur area of the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as district unit Jubo Dal activist Imran Sheikh, 29, son of Kalu Sheikh from Chaksutrapur area.

Officer-in-Charge of Bogra Sadar Thana (OC) Fayzur Rahman said some masked miscreants assaulted Imran and his brother Hilu Sheikh with sharp weapons while they were returning home around 2.15pm, leaving Imran died in the spot and his brother injured critically.

Later, Hilu Sheikh rushed to Bogra Shaheed Zia Medical College Hospital.    

Bogra senior Assistant Police Super M Nazir Ahmed Khan told banglanews that police found some clues behind the murder and the miscreants would be arrested soon.
