A man died and his two children were seriously injured after a boiler at a rice mill exploded in Gopalganj on Tuesday (June 6).

The incident happened at Monoroma rice mill in Ferryghat area of Haridashpur Sadar Upazila around 5:30 am.

The deceased identified was Noor-Islam Mollah, son of Yusuf Mollah of Haridashpur Purbopara village.

The injured Romana, 11, and Mostakim, 5, were sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment.

Gopalganj Sadar Police station officer in charge Md Jabed Masud confirmed the matter.

The incident occurred suddenly. At this time, Noor's flesh was torn from his body and he died on the spot, he said.
