A Woman and her 3-year-old son were found hanging from a single rope in Cumilla's Homna upazila on Thursday (June 8) morning.

The deceased were identified as Sazida Akter, 20, wife of Babu, a resident of Fakirpara and their son Md Abdullah.

Police recovered the bodies at about 11:30am from Fakirpara area under Bhasania Union.

Locals found the hanging bodies this morning and informed police. Later, a police team went to the scene and sent the bodies to Cumilla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Homna Police Station OC Saiful Islam confirmed the matter.

Police, however, detained Sazida Akter's husband Babu from the spot and brought him to the police station for interrogation, he added.
