Five people of the same family were reportedly burnt due to a fire caused by the explosion in Narayanganj's Fatullah on Friday (June 9) morning.

The injured are Salam Mondol, 50, Bulbuli, 40, Putul, 25, Sonia Akhter, 27, and Mehejabeen, 7.

The injured were admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Sohag who brought them to the hospital said that the room caught on fire the family fell asleep at night and an explosion was heard. 

Then we went and rescued them, he added. 

Sohag also said that the house may caught fire due to an electrical short circuit.
