President Mohammed Shahabuddin mourned death of Serajul Alam Khan, founder of Jatiya Samajtatnrik Dal and one of the key organisers of the War of Liberation.

In a condolence message, the Head of the State prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Serajul Alam, a key person among the three-member nucleus of the Swadhin Baangla Biplabi Parishad in the 1960s, breathed his last at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at about 2:30pm today.

He was on life support there for the last few days.
