DHAKA: Election Commission (EC) would likely to direct a transfer order to Dhaka and Khulna Divisional Commissioner ahead of the upcoming 10th parliamentary election on January 5.

EC sources told banglanews about the matter after a meeting chaired by Chief Election commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rokibuddin Ahmed at the commission secretariat on Monday evening.

The direction on transfer issue would likely to come within the tonight.

EC sources said Dhaka Divisional Commissioner AM Shamsuddin Azad Chowdhury and Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mesbah Uddin were found guilty in cooperation with EC during previous polls.

According to the election schedule, the 10th parliamentary elections will be held on January 5, 2014.
