DHAKA: A contractor, who was stabbed by his rival group in city’s Badda area following business-related dispute, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as M Faruk 28, son of Abdul Mannan of the area and a supplier of bricks and sand.

Police sources said that a gang of four to five people stabbed him mercilessly over business dispute at around 3:30pm Monday, leaving him injured critically on Monday noon.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at around 1:00am Tuesday.

Badda Thana Officer-in-Charge Iqbal Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
