At least two people were killed and another was injured after a truck hit an autorickshaw in Gazipur’s Kaliakoir Upazila early Sunday (June 11). 

The accident occurred on today’s morning near Fulbaria Bazar on the Maona-Kaliakoir Highway.

However, police have yet to identify the dead.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Fulbaria Police Camp of Kaliakair Police Station Sohel Molla confirmed the matter. 

Sohel Molla said that police seized the truck but the driver fled the scene. Legal steps are being taken on the incident. 

According to the locals, the autorickshaw was severely damaged and two people died on the spot. One person was seriously injured and admitted to the hospital.
