Awami League MP Saber Hossain Chowdhury was appointed as the Special Envoy to the Honorable Prime Minister for climate change.

The Cabinet Division issued a gadget notification in this regard on Monday (June 12).

According to the notification, as this will be an unpaid duty, Saber Hossain Chowdhury will not get a salary and allowances for the responsibility.

Saber Hossain Chowdhury is the chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. 

He is the former president of Bangladesh Cricket Board and former organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League.
