Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) predicted rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today (June 13).
According to the Met office bulletin, "light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country."
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the district of Rajshahi and it may continue, it added.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 37.6 degrees Celsius at Jashore, while today's minimum temperature 23.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Dinajpur and Kutubdia.
The highest rainfall was recorded 48mm at Patuakhali in the last 24 hours till 6am today.
