SATKHIRA: A freedom fighter (FF) was chopped to death by miscreants at Bharashimla village under Kaliganj upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Alauddin Khokon 63, of the area.

Locals said that a gang of miscreants chopped him mercilessly with lethal weapons at his home around 12:00am, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he was rushed to Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries at around 7:30am Wednesday.

Kaliganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Ali Azam Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
