Sujatha Singh meets Prime Minister

DHAKA: Visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office on Wednesday.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister laid importance on making poverty free South Asia, saying, it’s possible if South Asian leaders work together.

Confirming the matter to journalists, Prime Minister’s press secretary Abul Kalam Azad said, “During the meeting, they discussed on various matters related with mutual interests.”

Sujatha Singh arrived in Dhaka this morning on a two-day visit at the invitation of Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque.

Ambassador at-Large M Ziauddin, Principal Secretary Sheikh M Wahid Uz Zaman, PMO secretary Mollah Wahiduzzaman and Indian High Commissioner Pankaj Saran were among others present.
