Police recovered an unidentified blood-strained body at Sorail Upazila in Brahmanbaria on Friday (June 23).

Sorail Khatihata highway police station officer in charge Akil Chandra Biswas confirmed the matter.

He said locals informed the police regarding the body. Later, police went to the spot and recovered the body.

The body of the deceased has been sent to Brahmanbaria General Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.

"It seems like the deceased got hit by a vehicle while crossing the road. However, efforts are being made to identify the body," he added.
