A man died in the fire that broke out in the capital's Mohammadpur on Wednesday (June 28).

The deceased was identified as Mosharraf Hossain, 60.

The fire broke out around 12:25 am on the 14-story building in Shahjahan Road area. Later, four firefighting units doused the fire.

Fire Service Duty Officer Rafi Al Farooq confirmed the matter. 

Initially, the reason for the incident is unknown, details will be provided later, he said.
