Two persons died and two others were injured after a passenger bus overturned in Bogura on Wednesday (June 28).

The incident happened on Bogura-Rangpur highway at Chandihara in Shibganj upazila of Bogura district this morning.

Of the deceased one was identified as Al Amin, 15, of Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur district.

Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Highway Police confirmed the matter.

He said the accident occurred around 6 am when the Rangpur-bound bus of ‘Boishakhi Paribahan’ overturned after hitting a road divider, leaving two dead on the spot and two others injured.

Action in this regard is underway, he added.
