Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (June 28).
According to the Met office bulletin, “light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka, Chattogram, Mymensingh Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.”
Day and night temperatures may fall by (1-2) degree Celsius over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 33.7 degree Celsius at Sayedpur while today's minimum temperature 24.2 degree Celsius at Jashore.
The highest rainfall was recorded 74mm at Hatiya and Khepupara in the last 24 hours till 6am today.
The sun sets at 6:50 pm today and rises at 5:13am tomorrow in the capital.
