Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (June 30).
According to the Met office bulletin, “light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.”
Day and night temperatures may rise by (1-2) degree Celsius over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius at Rangamati while today's minimum temperature 23.8 degrees Celsius at Nikli.
The highest rainfall was recorded 138mm at Chattogram in the last 24 hours till 6am today.
The sun sets at 6:50 pm today and rises at 5:14am tomorrow in the capital.
