A fire that broke out at a launch at Sadarghat terminal in the capital was brought under control on Friday (June 30).

The fire service was informed regarding the incident at 11 am, according to the fire service. 

Anwarul Islam Dolan, media cell officer of the fire service headquarters, confirmed the matter. 

He said the fire broke out at around 11am at a launch named ‘Mayur-7. On information, 13 units of firefighters rushed to the spot and worked hard to douse the blaze.

The reason behind the incident could not be known immediately, and no casualties were reported.
