United Kingdom's Minister for International Trade Nigel Huddleston arrived in Dhaka on a two-day official visit on Tuesday (July 4).
Nigel Huddleston came to Dhaka yesterday evening to discuss with Bangladesh to help green growth.
The British High Commission in Dhaka said on Wednesday (July 5) that Minister's visit is to strengthen trade and investment relations between the two countries.
There are huge opportunities for British companies to take advantage of the growing trade relationship between the UK and Bangladesh, according to the UK government.
UK's trade with Bangladesh has reached £4.7 billion at the end of 2022.
Huddleston's visit is focused on unlocking more opportunities for British companies to grow trade with Bangladesh.
The visiting minister would meet high-level Bangladesh dignitaries including Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, PM's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali today to discuss issues of mutual interest.
