Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 10 members of a robber gang including its top leader after conducting special drives in the capital's Mohammadpur, Hazaribagh and Tejgaon areas on Wednesday (July 6).  

RAB-2 assistant director (media) senior ASP Shihab Karim confirmed the matter on Thursday (July 7).

During the drive, the elite force also seized some lethal weapons from their possessions.

Recently, the incidents of robbery are increasing in different areas of the capital. 

For this, RAB-2 increased their intelligence surveillance on the gang. The 10 muggers were arrested from Mohammadpur, Hazaribagh and Tejgaon areas on Wednesday, said Shihab Karim. 

He also said that the operation will be continuing by analyzing the data obtained on the basis of their interrogation. 

At the same time, that legal action against the detainees is under process, he added.
