Two motorcyclists were killed and one other was injured as a train hit their motorcycle in Santhia upazila of Pabna this morning.

The deceased were identified as Jamirul Islam, 32, and Md Babu, 36. They were the residents in Kabarikola area in the upazila. They were heading towards Biramhinpur riding on the motorcycle.

Ishwardi Railway Police Station Deputy Inspector (SI) Khairul Islam confirmed the matter.

He said the accident occurred at around 6:00 am in Chandipur rail level crossing. Jamirul and Babu died on the spot.

The injured person was admitted to a local hospital, he added.
