A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed in a road accident at Rayerbagh in Dhaka’s Jatrabari area on early Friday (July 7).

The deceased was identified as Md Suman, 36, son of Abdul Kuddus Miah of Barishal; he used to live at a rented house in Dhaka’s Hazaribagh area along with his family.

According to the victim’s family, an unidentified vehicle hit Suman’s auto-rickshaw from back in Rayerbagh area, leaving him in a critical condition.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

DMCH police outpost in-charge Md Bachchu Miah confirmed the matter.

The body was kept at the hospital morgue for post mortem examinations, he said.
