Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today.
According to the Net office bulletin, light to to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
Day may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.8 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi while today's minimum temperature 24.2 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bandarban.
The highest rainfall was recorded 43mm at Khulna in the last 24 hours till 6am today.
The sun sets at 6.50pm today and rises at 5.17am tomorrow in the capital.
